I woke up in the middle of the dust

It was so difficult to breathe

The air so thick with the feral fear

I crawl out of bed

Blinking in the dust

Coughing up a mouthful of dark

I stand, I look up and freeze

My visions clears and my eyes bleed

I drop to the floor

The darkness walks close to me

Smirking and smiling with joy

We play a beautiful macabre dance of courtship

I scramble back, it advances on me softly

It shakes its head, smirks once more

Grabs me just as I fall into a trance

Then the pain, the loss shocks my senses The wetness embracing me in its warmth

And then I feel nothing

He came in the night

To tear my soul from my body

And I felt nothing, I felt the peace

Seep out of my core
